Nils Orth received his B.F.A from Tyler School of Art in 2006. While at Tyler Nils took the opportunity to study abroad at Temple's Rome campus. While abroad Nils acquired a fascination for documenting people, which would later influence his latest body of work entitled "Untitled Faces".
Nils uses photography as a means to create representations that a person can view and then relate to through their own personal history, making the image's relationship with them unique. It is in the nature of photography, where a certain level of both truth and fiction co-exist, that Nils finds an appropriate means for expression. His work has recently been exhibited at St. Joe's University Gallery and the Icebox Gallery, and published in American Photo Magazine and on the web at imaginginfo.com.
